Home Protection Tips:

Insulate pipes: Ensure your pipes are properly insulated to prevent freezing and potential bursts. This is crucial in maintaining the integrity of your home’s plumbing system.

Maintain heating: Keep your heating on at a low level. Even if you’re not at home, to reduce the risk of pipes freezing.

Clear gutters: Remove any debris from gutters to prevent block ages and potential water damage from melting ice or snow.

Check your boiler: Make sure your boiler is in good working order to avoid any heating issues during the cold spell.

Check on holiday homes: If you have a holiday home, it may be sometime since you’ve visited it. Now would be a good time to check your property in advance of freezing conditions.

Tips for driving in cold conditions :

heck tyres: Ensure your tyres are properly inflated and have adequate tread depth to handle icy roads safely.

Battery and lights: Severe cold weather  can affect your car battery. So check its charge and ensure all lights are functioning properly.

De-ice your car: Use a proper de-icing solution for your wind shield and windows to maintain visibility.
